Sven Harjes

Hello dear filmmakers,

​

I would like to briefly introduce myself: 

My name is Sven Harjes, I am 42 years young, 

living in Cologne and am a casting director, acting coach, assistant director and Director.

​

I studied film studies/philosophy (B.A.) in Mainz and 

film & television (B.A.) with a specialization in directing in Berlin.

During my studies in Mainz, I volunteered for almost eight years 

accompanying children and adults with

mental and/or physical disabilities on vacation and leisure activities, and it was a great time. 

All the experience and knowledge I gained during this time 

has had a positive influence on my outlook. It has also changed the way 

I see myself, and I am very happy about this development.

 

Since 2020, I have been working in the areas of feature films and series and have since worked on 

several inclusive projects. 

Each production brought new challenges, but in the end, every 

obstacle was overcome and the results speak for themselves.

In summary, it can be said that: 

 

illusion was yesterday, inclusion is today.
